New Opportunity: Construction Manager

£675 per day

12-24 month contract
We’re currently looking for a Construction Manager to support the delivery of a major power upgrades project, which forms part of a long-term programme of works expected to continue through to 2028.
The Role
As Construction Manager, you will take responsibility for the safe and successful delivery of construction activities on a major National Grid infrastructure project.
You will lead site operations, manage contractors and subcontractors, oversee programme delivery, and ensure works are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing day-to-day construction activities across the project site
Coordinating contractors, supervisors and engineering teams
Ensuring compliance with HSE requirements, RAMS and safe systems of work
Monitoring programme progress and resolving site delivery challenges
Managing stakeholder and client relationships on site
Supporting project reporting, construction planning and resource management
Driving quality standards, inspections, audits and successful project handover
Ensuring construction activities are delivered in line with project schedules and commercial objectives
Requirements
We’re particularly interested in speaking with individuals who have:
Proven Construction Manager experience on HV power or substation projects
Strong background delivering National Grid infrastructure works
Previous experience working directly on National Grid projects
Experience managing complex site construction activities, contractors and programme delivery
Strong focus on HSE, quality and stakeholder management
Experience leading multidisciplinary site teams and subcontractors
Good understanding of construction planning, project controls and commercial awareness
SMSTS and CSCS (or equivalent)
