Head of Infrastructure & Utilities Surveyor

Location: Suffolk and working throughout East Anglia

Contract Type: Permanent

Our client is a forward-thinking rural surveying practice looking for an experienced Infrastructure & Utilities Surveyor to lead and grow their specialist team supporting landowners across East Anglia. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your own client base whilst making a real difference for landowners navigating complex infrastructure and utility schemes.

Position Overview

You’ll lead the practice’s infrastructure and utilities work, supporting landowners and occupiers affected by major schemes. You’ll combine technical expertise with client relationship management, developing a strong personal client base while serving existing clients and mentoring your team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow the infrastructure and utilities surveying team
  • Develop and manage your own client base of landowners
  • Provide expert advice on complex infrastructure and utility matters
  • Build long-term relationships with clients based on trust
  • Mentor team members and support their professional development
  • Stay current with changes in the rural surveying sector

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Infrastructure & Utilities Surveyor
  • Strong technical expertise in infrastructure and utility schemes
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams
  • Excellent client relationship and communication skills
  • MRICS or equivalent professional qualification
  • Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to new opportunities
  • Detail-focused approach with strong problem-solving skills
