Senior Quality Engineer

Kidderminster | Onsite

£35,000 – £55,000 + Excellent Benefits

An excellent opportunity for a Quality Engineer or Senior Quality Engineer to join a leading advanced manufacturing business operating within a highly regulated, safety-critical environment.

Working closely with Production, Engineering and Supply Chain teams, you’ll play a key role in ensuring product quality, driving continuous improvement and supporting the delivery of complex engineering products.

The Role

Reporting to the Production Quality Team Leader, you will:

  • Support production teams in achieving quality, delivery and performance targets.
  • Investigate non-conformances and lead root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Whys and Fishbone methodologies.
  • Monitor and report quality KPIs, driving corrective and preventive actions.
  • Conduct product audits and ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and customer requirements.
  • Prepare and support FAIRs, Quality Plans and product release documentation.
  • Lead MRBs and support DRBs to ensure product compliance.
  • Liaise with Engineering, Operations and Supplier Quality teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Support internal and external audits, including EN9100 activities.
  • Contribute to PFMEA reviews, technical investigations and continuous improvement projects.

Senior Quality Engineer

For experienced candidates, additional responsibilities include:

  • Leading quality improvement projects.
  • Coaching and mentoring colleagues.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
  • Deputising for the Quality Team Leader when required.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • HND, Degree or equivalent in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience within manufacturing, aerospace, defence, automotive or another regulated engineering environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T.

Desirable:

  • EN9100 auditing experience.
  • FAIR / EN9102 knowledge.
  • Def Stan or AQAP experience.
  • PFMEA, QRQC or SQCDP experience.
  • CMM inspection or programming knowledge.
