Head of Assets with a Charity/HA

£62,000 (may be wiggle)

Covering sussex/east sussex/surrey patch (office in Sussex)

This is a pivotal role where you will lead and deliver strategic and operational leadership to the organisation’s asset and property functions. You’ll be part of the organisation’s extended leadership team, being accountable for providing motivational leadership and management support for the delivery of asset and property services across the portfolio.

What will you do in the role? You’ll:

– Effectively lead a substantial service delivery or housing division and proven experience of developing a high performance, value for money, customer centric culture, preferably in the housing, charitable or commercial sector

– Be accountable for business and financial planning and budgetary operations

– Successfully deliver strategic asset management and responsive repairs and voids service, through an understanding and application of relevant legislation, statutory regulations and obligations

– Demonstrate experience of managing, motivating and supporting staff teams to achieve key performance indictors and making a difference to the lives of clients

– Showcase your experience of leading change management and implementing best practice and continuous improvement initiatives in the delivery of asset management and maintenance services.

Who would excel in this role? Someone with:

– High levels of knowledge about property management in its widest context

– Experience of overseeing approaches to asset management and investment

– Experience of creating strategies and delivery plans

– Experience of procurement practices and contract management

Desired Qualifications & Training:

– Educated to degree level or equivalent, RICS or MCIOB qualified with evidence of continual professional development

– Experience of strategic leadership
