We are pleased to offer an exciting internal opportunity for a committed and ambitious colleague to join our Higher Education team as HE Curriculum Leader – Teacher Training and Professional Studies (LBU).
This role offers the chance to lead and develop a growing curriculum area, working closely with the HE Manager, university partners and delivery teams to ensure an outstanding student experience and high-quality academic provision.
As Curriculum Leader, you will play a key role in shaping curriculum development, driving quality improvement, supporting student achievement and leading programme delivery across Teacher Training and Professional Studies.
What will you be doing?
You will:
- Lead the day-to-day operational management, quality and development of the curriculum area.
- Support curriculum planning, validation and programme development.
- Monitor key performance indicators including recruitment, retention, achievement and student satisfaction.
- Lead on quality processes including annual monitoring, external examiner responses and action planning.
- Manage student recruitment activities, interviews, open events and applicant engagement.
- Support and coordinate teaching teams to deliver an outstanding student experience.
- Ensure effective tracking and support of student progress and achievement.
- Work collaboratively with university partners and internal stakeholders to maintain high academic standards.
- Continue to deliver high-quality teaching within your specialist area.
Who are we looking for?
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic colleague who can demonstrate:
- A strong background in teaching and learning within Further or Higher Education.
- Experience of curriculum development, quality assurance and student support.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- The ability to motivate, inspire and lead others.
- A commitment to delivering an exceptional student experience.
- Knowledge of current developments within Higher Education and Teacher Training.
Previous experience of programme leadership, curriculum management or quality improvement activities would be advantageous.
