Project Manager – Transmission Infrastructure

Location: Perth (Hybrid – approx. 50% onsite)

Rate: £675 – £750 per day (Umbrella)

Contract: 6 months initially

Start: ASAP

Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to support the delivery of major transmission infrastructure projects. This role will focus on driving innovation, improving delivery performance, and accelerating programme timelines across complex engineering programmes.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale infrastructure projects, contributing to the advancement of modern engineering practices and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and implement opportunities to accelerate project delivery, including modularisation, offsite construction, and digital technologies
  • Produce detailed impact assessments, evaluating cost, programme timelines, and delivery benefits
  • Support project planning and execution by integrating improvements into delivery programmes and work scopes
  • Collaborate with project teams, engineering, commercial teams, and contractors to ensure efficient delivery
  • Identify and implement best practices to enhance performance across wider project portfolios
  • Support governance processes and ensure delivery aligns with safety, cost, quality, and programme objectives

Requirements:

  • Proven experience delivering major infrastructure, engineering, or construction projects
  • Strong understanding of project planning, programme impact, and change management
  • Experience working within complex project environments, with the ability to work autonomously and at pace
  • Ability to conduct cost-benefit analysis, balancing cost, risk, and programme delivery
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams
  • Familiarity with engineering or construction delivery models, ideally within transmission, substations, or related sectors

Desirable Experience:

  • Knowledge of NEC contracts and construction regulations (CDM)
  • Experience working on transmission or substation projects
  • Exposure to innovation, technical deployment, or programme optimisation initiatives
