We are seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to support and enhance our site EHS programmes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while promoting a safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible workplace.
About the Role
Working Pattern:
- 8 hours per day

Responsibilities
- Incident Investigation and Analysis
- Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and safety observations.
- Identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Analyse incident trends and recommend improvements to reduce future risk.
- Compliance and Documentation
- Maintain and review COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) assessments and risk assessments.
- Update procedures and documentation to ensure compliance with legal and site requirements.
- Conduct EHS sign-off for new equipment and manufacturing processes.
- Carry out risk assessments and provide training and guidance to non-EHS personnel.
- Environmental, Health & Safety Management
- Support compliance with environmental, health, and safety legislation and internal policies.
- Monitor workplace conditions and recommend corrective actions where hazards are identified.
- Assist with emergency response planning and hazardous material management.
- Promote best practices in workplace safety, industrial hygiene, and ergonomics.
- Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of EHS programmes.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to drive safety, sustainability, and operational excellence initiatives.
- Identify and implement innovative solutions to improve manufacturing safety performance.
- Site Expansion Support
- Provide EHS guidance during site expansion and operational changes.
- Ensure projects are planned and executed while maintaining high safety standards and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- Essential
- Experience in an EHS role within a semiconductor, chemical processing, manufacturing, or similar industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of COSHH, risk assessments, and relevant health and safety legislation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to respond effectively to incidents and emergencies.
- Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to deliver training across multiple departments.
- Desirable
- NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent) preferred but not essential.
- Experience supporting industrial hygiene and ergonomic programmes.
- Familiarity with hazardous waste management and environmental compliance activities.
