Swift Education are working in partnership with a highly regarded specialist SEND school to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teacher for a permanent position starting in September.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, including Autism. The successful candidate for this Key stage 2 Teacher role will be passionate about inclusive education and committed to helping every child achieve their full potential.
The key Stage 2 Teacher Role
You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons to Key Stage 2 pupils within a specialist SEND setting. The role requires a creative, adaptable and proactive teacher who can provide a structured and nurturing learning environment tailored to individual needs.
The Ideal Candidate for this Key Stage 2 Teacher role will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
- Previous experience teaching pupils with SEND, particularly autism
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- A patient, resilient and positive approach
- The ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
- A collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams and families
- The energy and enthusiasm to participate in a practical, active school environment
Due to the nature of the role and the needs of the pupils, candidates should be comfortable working in a physically active setting and be able to support pupils throughout the school day.
Please Note:
This Key Stage 2 Teacher position is not suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs). Applicants should have prior teaching experience and a proven ability to work effectively within a SEND environment.
