SCINERGY Recruitment are recruiting for a Mechanical Technician to join the maintenance team at a biomass power station in Sleaford, Lincolnshire.
The role will focus on planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across the plant, supporting safe, reliable and efficient operation.
The role will involve:
• Mechanical maintenance on rotating and static plant equipment
• Working on pumps, valves, gearboxes, conveyors, compressors and associated systems
• Supporting maintenance on boilers, fuel handling and auxiliary plant
• Fault-finding, repairs and defect rectification
• Completing work in line with site procedures, permits and isolations
• Updating CMMS records and supporting outages/shutdowns
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance
To be considered, you should have:
• A recognised mechanical qualification, ideally NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, with a completed apprenticeship
• Experience in power generation, biomass, process plant, manufacturing, refining, paper or similar
• Strong hands-on mechanical maintenance experience
• A good understanding of safe systems of work and permit-to-work procedures
Marine Engineers from the Royal Navy will also be considered.
