Job Description:

We’re Growing Our Engineering Team

At Lat51 Space Systems, we’re much more interested in finding the right person than the perfect CV.

We’re looking for an engineer to join our growing team in Oxfordshire. Whether you’re early in your career or already have several years of experience, we’re interested in people who enjoy solving engineering problems and building practical solutions.

Projects range from aerospace test systems and automotive validation equipment through to research and development platforms incorporating mechanical design, instrumentation, control systems and custom software. We design, build and integrate bespoke test, measurement, automation and validation systems that help our customers develop and verify their products.

As a growing business, you’ll have the opportunity to influence how we work, develop your skills across multiple disciplines and help shape the future of the company.

Our Ideal Candidate

In an ideal world, we’d love to find someone who combines:

  • Mechanical and/or electrical engineering experience
  • A practical, hands-on engineering mindset
  • An interest in solving complex technical problems
  • The ability to work directly with customers and colleagues
  • Experience designing, integrating or supporting complex engineering systems involving test and measurement, automation, control, instrumentation and data acquisition
  • LabVIEW experience and an interest in test and measurement systems
  • A full UK driving licence

We Recognise That’s Quite a Combination

Engineers with experience across all these areas are rare.

You might be stronger in some areas than others or have developed your experience in a different industry or role. If you’re excited by the opportunity, enjoy solving problems and building practical solutions, we’d encourage you to get in touch.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing and building engineering systems
  • Working across mechanical, electrical and software disciplines
  • Integrating instrumentation, sensors and control systems
  • Taking customer projects from concept through to delivery
  • Contributing to real engineering challenges in highly regulated industries

What We Offer

  • Salary £30,000–£45,000 depending on experience
  • Hybrid working – Oxfordshire-based office
  • Exposure to complete project lifecycles
  • Support in developing your technical and professional skills
  • Small team environment with responsibility
  • Opportunity to help shape a growing engineering business

If this sounds like something you’d enjoy, we’d love to hear from you.

Please send us a message or get in touch to arrange an informal conversation.
