Commercial Manager – Multiple Opportunities

We are recruiting for Commercial Managers to join a major London-based public sector organisation on an interim basis.

Key requirement: These roles vary in focus across high-volume post-contract delivery, public sector complex procurement, and NEC project work, offering a range of opportunities depending on your experience.

Key Details

• Contract: Until 18 December 2026 (potential to extend)
• Location: London – E20 / SE10 (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite / 2 days WFH)
• Rate: £700 per day Umbrella (Inside IR35)
• Start: ASAP
• Interview: 1-stage MS Teams

The Roles

1. Post-Contract (High Volume Delivery)

• Managing high-volume, lower-value commercial workstreams
• Handling contracts, claims, and governance processes
• Supporting approvals and drafting governance papers
• Working closely with project and contract managers
• Best suited to candidates with a strong commercial or Quantity Surveying background, post-contract experience, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment

2. Complex Procurement

• Leading a large, complex framework procurement
• Managing multiple stakeholders and suppliers
• Driving procurement strategy and delivery
• Working closely with an ACM supporting delivery
• Requires strong public sector procurement experience, a track record delivering complex procurements, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders

3. NEC Project (Post-Contract)

• Managing NEC fixed price contracts
• Handling payments, variations, and contractual issues
• Supporting dispute resolution where required
• Delivering across straightforward project contracts
• Suited to candidates with a commercial/Quantity Surveying background and strong NEC contract experience across post-contract project delivery
