Job Description:

Working on behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to join their Welsh Water Framework delivery team on a permanent basis. This role is ideally suited to an experienced Project Manager with a strong civil engineering background and proven experience delivering wastewater treatment and water infrastructure projects through design, construction, commissioning and handover.

Key Duties

  • Managing wastewater and clean water treatment projects from outline design through construction, commissioning and handover.
  • Leading the delivery of projects safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.
  • Planning and coordinating construction activities within live operational water and wastewater environments.
  • Managing project programmes, budgets, forecasts, risks and change control processes.
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with Welsh Water, operational teams, design partners and subcontractors.
  • Leading multidisciplinary project teams and driving collaboration across all project stakeholders.
  • Ensuring compliance with CDM regulations, SHEQ requirements and contractual obligations.
  • Overseeing commissioning activities and ensuring successful asset handover to the client.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency and overall project value.
  • Providing clear project reporting, governance and communication throughout the project lifecycle.

What we are looking for

  • Proven experience delivering wastewater treatment works and associated infrastructure projects.
  • Strong civil engineering background with experience in reinforced concrete structures, pipelines, pumping stations, buried assets and process infrastructure.
  • Good understanding of wastewater treatment processes and working within live operational environments.
  • Experience managing projects through design, construction, commissioning and handover stages.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, forecasts, risks and project performance.
  • Knowledge and practical application of NEC contracts.
