Experienced Teaching Assistant – Rochdale
We are currently recruiting for Experienced Teaching Assistants to support a range of primary, secondary, and SEND schools across Rochdale and surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and have previous experience working in a classroom or specialist learning environment.
The Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning within the classroom. Responsibilities may include:
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
- Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and delivery
- Supporting pupils with additional needs (SEND/SEN where required)
- Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning
- Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Providing feedback to teachers on pupil progress and development
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant (primary, secondary, or SEND)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s education
- Relevant qualifications (desirable but not essential depending on experience)
