Forward Deployed Solutions Engineer

Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in technical pre-sales and data engineering
- 5+ years in a customer-facing role such as implementation, forward-deployed engineering, or software engineering
- Proven ability to build and ship production systems in customer environments
- Strong proficiency in SQL and scripting languages like Python or JavaScript
- Hands-on experience with APIs, webhooks, and system integrations
- Familiarity with modern data stacks (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery) and ETL workflows
- Cloud expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Excellent ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes for diverse stakeholders
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in high-growth startups or fast-paced settings
- Background in solution architecture or technical pre-sales
- Experience authoring Statements of Work (SOWs) and scoping implementations
- Knowledge of data modeling, data pipelines, and large-scale data systems
- Comfort navigating the full customer lifecycle, from pre-sales to post-deployment
Other Requirements:
- Ability to operate across multiple projects simultaneously in a high-pressure environment
- Willingness to travel as needed to customer sites and industry events (once a week in Leeds requirement)
