Commercial Lawyer, Leading Payments Firm

The Client:

We are working with a fast-growing, innovative organisation in the payments space to appoint a 5-10PQE Commercial Lawyer to support its expanding UK and international operations.

This is an opportunity to join a high growth, driven business operating at the forefront of digital payments, where legal plays a key role in enabling commercial strategy.

The role

You will sit closely with the business, advising on a broad range of commercial and payments related matters, including:

• Drafting and negotiating commercial agreements (supplier, customer, and partnership contracts)
• Advising on payments products and services, including merchant acquiring, PSP arrangements, and fintech partnerships
• Supporting on strategic commercial initiatives and new product launches
• Collaborating with stakeholders across product, sales, and operations

What we’re looking for

• Qualified lawyer in England and Wales, Europe or common law jurisdictions
• Strong experience in commercial contracts from private practice or in-house
• Exposure to payments, fintech, or financial services (highly desirable)
• Understanding of regulatory frameworks impacting payments
• Commercial, pragmatic mindset with the ability to work closely with non legal stakeholders
