CLIENT:

Our client is a leading UK design and build contractor that delivers workplace consultancy, design, fit-out, and refurbishment services for well-known landlords and occupiers. Recognised for efficient project delivery and award-winning design, it places strong emphasis on sustainability, wellbeing, and creating workplaces that inspire people.

THE ROLE:

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of high-profile workplace design & build projects, typically valued at £1M – £5M. This will be part of a newly formed “Major Projects” division. You will oversee all phases of project management; from client brief and pre-construction through to on-site delivery and handover – ensuring projects are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of workplace design & build projects, typically valued at £1M – £5M.
  • Lead project planning, scheduling, and resourcing, coordinating with Landlords, internal teams and external contractors.
  • Maintain close communication with clients, ensuring expectations are met and exceeded throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor budgets, financial reporting, and change management, ensuring commercial control and profitability.
  • Oversee on-site delivery, health & safety compliance, and quality assurance.
  • Support sustainability initiatives, embedding best practice into project outcomes.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, promoting collaboration and professional development.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Proven track record of delivering commercial workplace projects above £1m within a design & build or fit-out environment.
  • Strong experience in project scheduling, cost management, and contract administration.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and thrive under tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of relevant health & safety regulations and industry standards.
  • A proactive problem-solver with a focus on innovation and quality.
