Project Planner

Genuine Hybrid / Flexible Working

£50,000 – £65,000 + Car Allowance + Travel Expenses

We’re seeking an experienced Project Planner to join a growing project controls team supporting the delivery of major infrastructure projects across the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially aware planner who understands the importance of programme management beyond scheduling and is comfortable working closely with project delivery and commercial teams on complex projects.

The Role

As a Project Planner, you’ll be responsible for developing, maintaining and analysing project programmes while supporting project teams with planning, change control and programme performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining project schedules using Primavera P6
  • Producing programme updates, reporting and forecasts
  • Identifying and analysing programme risks, delays and opportunities
  • Supporting change control processes and assessing programme impacts
  • Working closely with commercial and project teams to ensure programme integrity
  • Carrying out critical path and schedule impact analysis
  • Supporting NEC contract requirements through robust programme management
  • Engaging with clients, contractors and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle

About You

We’re looking for candidates who have:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a planning role
  • Strong Primavera P6 experience
  • Experience working for or alongside Tier 1 contractors on major infrastructure projects
  • A strong understanding of NEC contracts and programme obligations
  • Experience supporting and managing change control processes
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of how programmes support project outcomes
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • The ability to challenge, influence and support project teams where required
