We are working with a leading international law firm who are seeking an Associate Solicitor to join their Corporate Tax team within their London office.
The Role
The successful candidate will join an elite Tax Transactions team, advising international and domestic clients across high-profile corporate and real estate transactions, focusing on mid-market M&A, real estate transactions, VAT, and employment taxation. The candidate’s duties will also include working on tax disputes, investigations and appeals for multinationals, owner-managed businesses and high-net-worth individuals, as well as advising across a range of specialist areas, including asset finance, cross-border tax and financing arrangements, and international trade.
The candidate will play a key role in supporting major insurance underwriters, brokers and agents on a wide range of business-critical tax matters. The candidate will also demonstrate a willingness to participate in business development initiatives while managing client relationships.
Essential Criteria:
- 1-3 PQE;
- Strong background in corporate tax within a medium to large private practice (legal or accounting firm);
- Excellent commercial awareness;
- Outstanding academics;
- Technically excellent;
- Negotiation skills;
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
