London

The Opportunity

ISS Facility Services are supporting one of their large Banking clients in appointing a CAD Technician, with strong experience in Space Planning & Area Analysis.

This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping and optimising one of the UK’s most prestigious estates—enhancing workplace experience, improving spatial efficiency, and supporting strategic estate decisions.

The Role

Working closely with the Moves & Changes Project Manager, you will support the development and communication of space planning solutions across the organisation.

This is not a pure drafting role—it requires a blend of technical CAD expertise and analytical capability to drive data-led decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Space Planning

  • Develop space plans, layouts, test fits, and occupancy models
  • Translate business requirements into clear, visual solutions
  • Support planning decisions through spatial analysis and scenario modelling

Area Analysis

  • Maintain accurate datasets (GIA/NIA, zoning, occupancy capacity) in line with RICS/IPMS standards
  • Produce reports to support estate optimisation, planning, and audit
  • Deliver clear spatial insights to inform decision-making

CAD & Data Management

  • Maintain and update accurate AutoCAD drawings aligned to estate conditions
  • Support the move towards a data-led, integrated workplace model
  • Align CAD outputs with IWMS platforms (e.g. Planon)

Governance

  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security
  • Apply best-practice governance standards across estate information

About You:

Essential

  • HNC/HND (or equivalent qualification)
  • Strong AutoCAD capability
  • Experience in space planning and area analysis
  • Solid understanding of building layouts and spatial data
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly and engage stakeholders

Desirable

  • Knowledge of RICS/IPMS measurement standards
  • Experience with IWMS tools, dashboards, or utilisation data
  • Background in property, workplace, or estate environments

Candidate Profile

We’re looking for someone who combines technical expertise with analytical thinking. You’ll be confident interpreting spatial data, producing high-quality layouts, and translating information into actionable insights.

This role suits someone who enjoys working at the intersection of design, data, and strategy, contributing to informed workplace decisions at scale.
