Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Legal & Compliance Advisor to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in employment law, recruitment law, compliance, or an in-house legal environment who enjoys providing practical advice and working closely with stakeholders across the business.

The role is part-time although we are flexible how many days and also whether the role could be fully remote or hybrid. The full-time salary equivalent would be in the range of £50,000 to £65,000.

About the Role

Working as part of a busy legal and compliance function, you will provide day-to-day legal and commercial support across the business, helping to manage risk while enabling growth and operational success.

This is a broad and varied role that offers exposure to contract negotiation, employment and recruitment law, data protection, regulatory compliance, policy development and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reviewing, drafting and negotiating client contracts.
  • Advising on legal and compliance matters relating to the provision of temporary, fixed-term and permanent workers.
  • Identifying contractual risks and proposing practical commercial solutions.
  • Supporting commercial tenders, bids and procurement activities.
  • Conducting internal compliance audits and monitoring adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Responding to legal, compliance and operational queries from stakeholders across the business.
  • Assisting with complaints handling and risk management matters.
  • Managing data protection issues, including Subject Access Requests (SARs) and GDPR-related queries.
  • Drafting, reviewing and updating policies, procedures and template email communications.
  • Supporting wider legal, compliance and governance projects as required.

About You

  • In-house legal advisory work.
  • Contract review and negotiation.
  • Data protection and GDPR compliance.
  • Regulatory compliance, governance or risk management.
