SEO/GEO Manager

London – hybrid 3 days in office

Up to £60,000 + bonus

This is a unique opportunity to take full ownership of organic growth across both traditional search and emerging AI-driven discovery channels. With no existing in-house SEO function, you will step into a blank slate role where your ideas, strategy, and execution will shape how the business ranks today and how it is discovered in the future.

The Company

They are a well-established retail business with a strong presence across physical locations and e-commerce. Operating in a highly competitive consumer market, they are investing heavily in digital transformation, customer experience, and data-led growth. Their model blends heritage retail with modern digital commerce, creating a dynamic environment for innovation. You will join a growing digital and growth function with strong cross-functional collaboration.

The Role

  • Own and deliver the organic search strategy across multiple e-commerce websites
  • Lead SEO initiatives across technical, on-page, and content optimisation
  • Develop and implement a GEO strategy to improve visibility across AI-driven search platforms and LLMs
  • Conduct keyword research, technical audits, and performance analysis to identify growth opportunities
  • Monitor search trends, algorithm updates, and SERP developments, translating these into clear business actions
  • Partner closely with content, digital, PR, and development teams to embed SEO and GEO best practices
  • Build reporting frameworks to track traffic, rankings, revenue, and emerging AI visibility metrics
  • Act as the internal expert on organic growth, influencing stakeholders and driving adoption of new ideas

Your Skills & Experience

  • Strong commercial experience driving SEO performance in an in-house or end-to-end environment (ideally retail)
  • Broad knowledge across technical SEO, content strategy, and digital PR
  • Understanding of AI search, LLMs, and how content is surfaced in generative engines, or a clear passion to build this capability
  • Experience working with e-commerce or consumer-focused businesses
  • Confident working autonomously as both a strategist and hands-on executor
  • Strong communication skills, able to simplify complex topics and influence stakeholders
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using tools such as GA4, Search Console, and SEO platforms

What They Offer

  • Salary up to £60,000 with bonus potential
  • Hybrid working model with 3 days in a central London office
  • Private healthcare, pension, and life assurance
  • Generous holiday allowance with options to purchase more
  • Staff discounts and additional lifestyle benefits
  • High-impact role with clear ownership and progression potential
