Main duties/responsibilities:

To carry out routine tasks of street cleansing, grounds maintenance, horticulture and other works at all sites under the control of the Town Council. Including:

• Grounds maintenance including watering, fertilising, mowing, weed killing and general husbandry, to meet defined standards.
• Street cleansing, litter collection and bin management.
• Operating machinery, tools and plant used in tasks of routine grounds maintenance.
• Routine horticulture.
• Minor improvement schemes.
• Helping other staff in works of a technical nature.
