About the Role
AVTAV is working in partnership with DHL Express, a global leader in logistics and time-sensitive international delivery.

As a Courier Driver, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of DHL parcels and mail. Working independently and on the road, you will represent the company professionally, provide excellent customer service and meet delivery targets across your assigned routes.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver DHL parcels and mail packages across assigned routes.
Complete approximately 30 parcel drops per day initially, progressing to approximately 60 drops.
Use a handheld scanner to record and manage deliveries accurately.
Load your own vehicle before departing the depot.
Deliver to both commercial and residential properties.
Ensure all deliveries are completed safely, accurately and in line with company procedures.
Provide friendly and professional customer service.
Complete all required delivery records and documentation.
Follow company Health & Safety, driving and compliance procedures.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
A valid UK driving licence.
Good knowledge of road safety and driving regulations.
Strong attention to detail.
The ability to prioritise and manage a busy delivery schedule.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
A professional and customer-focused approach.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A reliable and punctual approach to work.
The physical ability to load, unload and handle parcels.
Previous courier, delivery driving or multi-drop experience is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
Security Checks
As this role is connected to a major UK airport, successful applicants must be willing to complete the following checks in line with Aviation Security Regulations:
A five-year employment history check.
A UK criminal record check.
An international criminal record check where the applicant has lived outside the UK for more than six months.
Relevant aviation security training, completed in-house by AVTAV at no cost to the applicant.
Applicants must be able to provide the documentation required to complete these checks.
