UK Facilities Management Support Manager

We’re looking for a proactive Facilities Management (FM) Support Manager to help drive the effective delivery of our Mitie Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) contract across key UK sites.
What You’ll Do
- Support the delivery and day‑to‑day management of the Mitie IFM contract across multiple UK sites.
- Act as a key interface between Thales, Mitie and subcontractors to ensure smooth, high‑quality service delivery.
- Monitor KPIs, SLAs and performance data, driving corrective actions and service improvements.
- Support operational plans, contract reviews, audits and site meetings, ensuring actions are tracked to completion.
- Oversee delivery of core FM services including maintenance, cleaning, security, waste and catering.
- Assist with budget tracking, invoice reviews and monthly reporting.
- Manage service escalations and support root‑cause analysis and preventative actions.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in Facilities Management or Real Estate operations, ideally within an IFM or contract‑managed environment.
- Knowledge of Hard FM (maintenance, engineering, building fabric) and Soft FM (cleaning, catering, waste, reception).
- Understanding of manned guarding and site security operations.
- Experience supporting contract performance, KPIs and SLAs.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across clients, suppliers and internal teams.
- Ability to analyse performance data and identify improvement opportunities.
- Knowledge of procurement, budgeting and FM financial processes.
- Strong organisational, communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and FM systems.

Security Clearance Requirement
Due to the nature of the work that we do at Thales, many of our roles are subject to security restrictions. This role requires Security Clearance (SC). It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance prior to commencing employment.
To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years’ residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks.
