Overview
Responsible for managing and overseeing building services contracts across the local authority estate, ensuring compliance, value for money and adherence to key performance indicators. The role monitors contractor performance, manages financial and contractual processes and supports maintenance, safety, and continuous improvement in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the administration of building services contracts across the Local Authority’s managed estate.
- Ensure contractors meet statutory, operational, contractual and performance requirements.
- Ensure compliance, value for money and high‑quality service delivery across mechanical, electrical and maintenance contracts.
- Manage the efficient functioning of construction, maintenance and building services contracts, applying procurement procedures, complying with governance processes and assisting with financial tasks and reporting.
- Monitor contractor performance, manage quality assurance processes and review KPI metrics for contractors, including coordination of social value commitments.
- Support compliance, risk management, financial control and continuous improvement across building services.
- Work closely with the Property Services team, other local authority teams, contractors and external partners to maintain high standards of safety, compliance and financial accountability.
