Overview
We are looking for a motivated DevOps Engineer to build and maintain a robust, world‑class infrastructure. This role is based in London and works closely with the US team, collaborating with both technical experts and business users. Strong communication skills and personal ownership of tasks are essential.
Responsibilities and Impact
- Administer and support the firm’s DevOps systems—including Puppet, Jenkins, GitHub, and SVN.
- Manage software compilation, deployment, and lifecycle management for core application platforms.
- Administer and automate Linux systems, covering resource management, continuity and resiliency planning, security operations, and patching/upgrade lifecycle management.
- Monitor and troubleshoot core systems, identifying and recommending improvements to resolve issues and enhance performance.
- Support business and technology development teams with dependency resolution and software testing methodologies.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in development or IT operations within a financial services company.
- University degree preferred.
- Hands‑on experience with multiple DevOps tools.
- Experience with public cloud management and associated automation (AWS, Azure, etc.).
- Ability to translate business and technical requirements into reproducible, resilient technology solutions.
- Continuous assessment of systems and processes with recommendation of appropriate modifications.
