The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Mixed Veterinary Surgeon to join our well‑established independent practice in Newcastle upon Tyne.
Clinical standards are high, teamwork is valued, and surgical clinicians are trusted with clinical freedom while supported by experienced colleagues.
The role includes a 10‑minute consultation model and a supportive nursing team.
Our network includes eight independent practices across the North East, providing a wider support network.
What We’re Looking For
- MRCVS registration.
- Minimum 7 years of postgraduate veterinary experience.
- Previous experience within mixed practice.
- Confidence in consulting, surgery and ambulatory work.
- Excellent communication and client care skills.
- Positive, team‑focused approach.
- Full UK driving licence with ability to drive a manual vehicle.

The Rota
Work‑life balance is valued. The rota includes full‑time or part‑time, minimum 3 days per week, one Saturday morning in three, shared Bank Holiday cover, a small contribution to a 1‑in‑6 weekend on‑call rota, a long weekend after every on‑call, and weekend on‑call is always shared between three surgeons.
