Job Description:

We are looking for a Clinical Research Fellow to work on an exciting programme to understand the cognitive and behavioural impairments caused by Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. You will be working with Professor Paresh Malhotra on a UK DRI study that aims to harness new opportunities and data from an Alzheimer’s platform trial ongoing in the group. You will also work on linked substudies and biomarker research in patients and individuals at risk of Alzheimer’s and other neurodegenerative diseases.

What you would be doing

You will work with Professor Malhotra and colleagues within the UKDRI (at Imperial and throughout the UK), and the NHS to recruit and cognitively assess patients and coordinate patient care. You will use technology and rich datasets to evaluate biomarkers and treatments.

You will be encouraged to apply for ongoing funding with the possibility of carrying out a higher degree.

What we are looking for

You should have a degree in medicine (MBBS) and have GMC registration. You should have clinical experience in a relevant discipline, such as neurology, psychiatry or general medicine. You should be well‑organised and experienced at problem solving in research projects. Experience of research in clinical neuroscience is desirable but not essential.

You will receive training in clinical trial implementation and how to write research papers and applications as well as presentation at conferences.

This is a fixed‑term, full‑time post, based at our Hammersmith Campus.
