Hours: 5 days per week, Term Time Only + inset days
Salary: £22,274 – 24,796 per annum (term‑time only)

We are looking for a Family Support Practitioner to join our team and make a difference in children’s lives every single day. As the Family Support Practitioner, you will be based in the setting and work in close partnership with school staff to deliver a programme of casework to promote and improve educational outcomes for the children and their families. You will also focus your support to help improve attendance, punctuality and engagement in learning.
Key responsibilities include building and maintaining strong relationships with families, schools and other agencies, and applying safeguarding procedures effectively.
You’ll have previous experience of:
- Working in an education setting or similar to improve a child’s school attendance and engagement in learning
- Engaging with parents/carers, children or individuals through individual and/or group-based support
- Understanding factors affecting a child’s capacity to learn
- Working with families from diverse communities
- Providing holistic family support
- Safeguarding processes and referral routes for safeguarding children
- Holding a full driving license with access to your own vehicle
