We’re working with an established and innovative manufacturer that is looking to add a Graduate Manufacturing Engineer to its growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience, work alongside experienced engineers, and develop your technical and professional skills within a supportive business.
The Role
As a Graduate Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll be involved in a variety of projects aimed at improving manufacturing processes, increasing efficiency, and supporting the introduction of new products into production. This is a varied role offering exposure to production, quality, process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting manufacturing and production engineering activities across the site.
- Assisting with process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Working with production teams to resolve engineering and manufacturing issues.
- Supporting new product introduction (NPI) and manufacturing readiness.
- Producing and updating work instructions, process documentation and technical reports.
- Assisting with root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions.
- Contributing to Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement projects.
- Collaborating with Quality, Production and Design Engineering teams.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, eager to learn and passionate about engineering.
You’ll ideally have:
- A degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Production or a related Engineering discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.
- An interest in manufacturing, process improvement and continuous improvement.
- Placement year or internship experience within manufacturing is advantageous but not essential.
