Position Overview
We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to support Linde Material Handling’s forklift and warehouse equipment across the Chesterfield area (S42,S43,S44,S45). Candidates should have experience as vehicle technicians or mechanical engineers, ideally with a background in forklift, plant, or industrial machinery maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and rectify faults on a wide range of Linde and other material handling equipment at customer sites.
- Perform preventative maintenance and servicing on small pallet trucks, counterbalance trucks, Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) trucks, and automated trucks.
- Maintain accurate service records using Linde’s information technology systems.
- Work autonomously and collaboratively within the engineering team.
- Participate in an induction program and ongoing technical training.
Qualifications & Experience
- Mechanical, Electrical, or Hydraulics engineering background.
- Relevant experience in forklift or plant equipment maintenance.
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) preferred but not required.
- Full UK driving licence (Field and Resident Engineers).
- Comfortable with IT equipment and data entry.
