Controls/Automation Engineer
£70,000 + Progression + Pension + Holiday + Company Benefits
Monday to Friday – 8am to 4pm
Tiverton (commutable from Taunton, Willand, Exeter, Wellington, Honiton and Chard)
Are you a Controls Engineer or similar looking to join an original equipment manufacturer that is family‑owned and has been running for 25+ years?
On offer is the opportunity to work on technically challenging automation projects from design through to commissioning in a close‑knit engineering team, with autonomy to make a real impact and develop your skills across a wide range of industrial control systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, programme and improve PLC and HMI systems for equipment used by leading food manufacturers.
- Investigate and resolve control system issues.
- Maintain and improve control systems for all equipment on site.
- Install and commission new equipment.
- Participate in the full project lifecycle: software development, testing, installation, commissioning and customer acceptance, ensuring high performance and reliability.
Qualifications
- Experience with Citect / AVEVA Plant SCADA.
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming.
- Experience in the food/fmcg industry.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
