About the role
Location: 5 St James Road, Dudley
This role is for an End User Technology Engineer within a team that provides research, maintenance, development, and support for the authority’s enterprise end-user environment. The role requires strong technical and communication skills, along with proven experience in configuring, installing, and supporting a range of end user hardware and software in a large desktop enterprise environment.
The Enterprise End User Technology Team supports over 5000 end user devices across 150+ locations within the Dudley borough, including laptops, audiovisual solutions, mobile devices, and multi-functional devices.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
- Experience working within a Microsoft environment, including Windows OS, Intune, Entra and Office 365
- Working knowledge of current audio‑visual technologies & solutions
- Experience operating as part of a highly professional, collaborative team
- Strong expertise in Microsoft technologies with the ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Strong working knowledge of mobile technologies, including Android, MDM solutions and associated hardware
- The ability to liaise effectively with third‑party suppliers and internal stakeholders
- A proactive, self‑motivated approach with the ability to work independently in a performance‑driven environment
- The ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritise both personal and team responsibilities effectively.
- You should hold relevant professional accreditations, ideally a Microsoft certification, or be able to demonstrate equivalent technical expertise in Microsoft technologies and end‑user security within a large enterprise environment.
