The engineer will connect field operations with the maintenance organisation to minimise downtime and failure rates and maximise train operation.

Responsibilities

  • Review and design main train subsystems with a focus on maintainability, availability, reliability and CBM rule application.
  • Develop prognostic algorithms based on logic, signals/events, operational information, resolution, sampling timing and preservation prescriptions for maintenance.
  • Implement prognostic algorithms with proprietary technologies and languages such as PySpark, Python, PowerBI.
  • Analyse diagnostics and maintenance data, monitor prognostic system performances and conduct statistical analysis on collected data to identify critical trends and conditions.
  • Support prognostic algorithm verification and validation, including simulations with the TCMS simulator, analysis of historical diagnostic data and maintenance reports, and field failures.
  • Study and review vehicle FMECA/FMEA and maintenance plans.
  • Participate in RCM design activities.
  • Maintain communication among diagnostic MMI interfaces, TCMS, onboard subsystem controllers and on‑ground systems.
  • Write and review maintenance procedures and plans, and train users on CBM.
