Programme Manager – English

College location: East Surrey College (Redhill) and John Ruskin College (Selsdon)

Salary: £46,931 – £51,277 (Subject to qualifications, skills and experience)

Hours: Full time (37 hours/week) 08:45‑17:00 Mon – Fri

We are looking for a passionate and experienced leader to take our English provision forward across the College Group.

In this key role, you will lead and manage English delivery, ensuring high‑quality teaching and strong outcomes for students across GCSE and Functional Skills. You will play a central role in driving achievement, attendance, progress and a positive learner experience.

You will work closely with the Director of Learning (English and Maths) to develop a responsive and ambitious curriculum, support staff development, and use data and insights to continuously improve performance.

The Successful Candidate Must Have

  • Full Teaching qualification
  • A demonstrable track record of improving success rates and standards
  • Knowledge of current developments in the English curriculum within Further Education
  • Experience of supervising staff
