An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cyber Performance Manager to join our Digital & Innovation team.

The Cyber Performance Manager will support the Head of Cyber Security in developing and delivering the cyber strategy, turning strategic priorities into clear programme plans, deliverables and performance measures. The role will ensure regulatory reporting and regulatory change activity are tracked and delivered, while coordinating external engagement with stakeholders including academia and innovation partners.

SC-level National Security Vetting clearance is required for this role. Candidates will be required to have lawfully resided in the UK for a minimum of 5 years to support security clearance processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of Cyber Security in developing and delivering the cyber strategy, translating priorities into plans and measurable outcomes.
  • Manage cyber programme deliverables, tracking milestones, risks, dependencies, benefits and executive reporting.
  • Maintain delivery governance across cyber workstreams, action logs, dashboards and performance packs.
  • Oversee regulatory reporting, ensuring accurate, timely submissions backed by clear evidence and assurance.
  • Monitor regulatory change, assess impacts and translate new requirements into action plans and controls.
  • Coordinate engagement with regulators, industry bodies and external stakeholders, including academia and innovation partners.
  • Work with IT, OT, telecoms, legal, risk and operational teams to resolve blockers and embed requirements.
  • Support cyber governance, performance metrics, continuous improvement and lessons learned.
  • Ability to support the Head of Cyber Security in shaping strategy and translating it into deliverable plans.
  • Programme delivery and performance management across cyber or technology portfolios.
  • Regulatory reporting governance, including evidence packs for senior and external audiences.
  • Horizon-scanning for regulatory change and translating requirements into delivery plans.
  • Stakeholder management across regulators, academia, innovation partners and internal teams.

    Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications

    Essential Qualifications and Experience

    • Security clearance required; applicants must have five years’ lawful UK residency.
    • Experience supporting senior cyber/security leaders with strategy development and delivery.
    • Experience managing cyber, digital, resilience or regulatory programmes.
    • Knowledge of NIS-R, CAF, ISO/IEC 27001/27002, GDPR and cyber governance.
    • Experience coordinating regulatory reporting, assurance evidence and governance papers.
    • Regulatory change management, impact assessment and implementation tracking.
    • Strong stakeholder engagement, including external partners and industry bodies.
    • Understanding of IT, OT and telecoms environments and cyber risk impacts.

    Desirable Qualifications and Experience

    • Regulator, government or industry forum engagement.
    • University, research or innovation partnership experience.
    • PRINCE2, Agile, APM, MSP or similar.
    • CISSP, CISM, ISO27001 Lead Implementer or similar.
