Operations Manager – Bicester

Job Description

We are recruiting an experienced Operations Manager to strengthen our depot management team.

In this role you will be a crucial member of the management team overseeing the depot operation, achieving outstanding service to customers and meeting objectives around cost, health & safety, security, productivity and transport.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, develop, and retain staff, ensuring all compliance and employee relations processes are followed.
• Manage P&L through effective planning and reporting.
• Improve overall support to the operation, focusing on innovative ways of working.
• Oversee the smooth running of depot operations and meet challenging objectives across cost, health & safety, security, productivity, and transport.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in logistics, warehouse or distribution industries.
• Ability to run a fast‑paced operation, managing and motivating high‑performing operational teams.
• Experience monitoring performance, analysing data to identify improvements and successfully implementing change.
• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to influence strategy.
• Demonstrates the core DPD DNA values of Passion, Respect, Honesty, Flexibility, Caring and Accountability.
• Ready to cover any five shifts, including weekends, as depots operate 365 days a year.
• A full UK driving licence.
