Overview
Commercial Development Executive – London. We are currently looking for a Commercial Development/Account Executive to join the established and welcoming broking team in London. Your role will be to understand and approach businesses in terms of their insurance requirements and to design and administer insurance solutions for the protection of their material assets and liabilities. You will have access to a range of market‑leading wholesale and in‑house underwriters to competitively place commercial insurance. Support is provided by telemarketing services, dedicated claims handling teams, databases, account handlers and access to leading insurance products and networks. The role comes with a generous commission structure and hybrid working if required, ideally based out of the London office.
Responsibilities
- Deliver against agreed targets and plans.
- New business quotations, renewals and MTA’s – drive sales and service excellence and retain the existing commercial book.
- Typical classes of insurance broking cover liabilities, PI combined, commercial combined, property owners, cyber liability, D&O, fleets, motor trade and others.
- Create a customer‑led culture where sales and customer standards, discipline, activities and best practice are delivered.
- Ensure compliance with FCA regulatory requirements.
- Build long‑standing relationships with insurers and clients, seeking the best policy for the customer while protecting the insurer.
- Prioritise high‑value activities and select the best course of action based on available information.

Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant commercial insurance broking industry experience.
- Desire to win new business, with some renewals and MTA’s.
- Knowledge of company industry types and operating conditions.
- Ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence in creating compelling market insurance presentations.
- Pro‑active and self‑motivated with strong planning and organisational skills to meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail; cooperative and supportive team player.
