Transport Manager (CPC Holder)

Salary: 45,000 – 50,000Location: UK (with EU travel up to twice per month)Type: Temp to Perm / Permanent Opportunity

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Transport Manager to join a large, well-established logistics business during a period of strategic expansion.

This role will play a key part in launching and managing a new cross-border linehaul solution between the UK, Netherlands, Ireland and additional EU lanes as the network scales throughout the year.

This is a genuine opportunity to build and shape a new operation within a growing team, with long‑term progression available as fleet size and lane volumes increase.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Act as Transport Manager and be named on the Operator’s Licence
  2. Oversee a dedicated linehaul fleet operating cross-border between the UK and EU
  3. Manage driver compliance, WTD, tachograph and O Licence obligations
  4. Ensure full compliance with DVSA and regulatory requirements
  5. Monitor fleet utilisation, route efficiency and cost control
  6. Support the launch of new EU lanes as operations expand
  7. Liaise with EU partners and operational teams
  8. Travel to EU locations up to twice per month as required
  9. Drive operational performance, service levels and KPI delivery

Requirements

  1. Valid International Transport Manager CPC
  2. Experience being named on an Operator’s Licence
  3. Strong knowledge of UK and EU transport regulations
  4. Linehaul / trunking management experience
  5. Cross-border transport experience (UK-EU preferred)
  6. Experience managing drivers and fleet compliance
  7. Strong understanding of tachograph legislation and WTD
  8. Willingness to travel internationally (up to 2 trips per month)
  9. Commercially aware and operationally hands‑on
