WhatYou’llbeDoing:

Coordinateexternalsourcesofmarketrelevantdata&informationandcombinewithdataflowingtotheresearchdeskfromglobaloriginationteams&merchandisingcentres.Thesuccessfulcandidatewillberesponsibleforenhancingandfullyutilisingtheadvantageousdataheldacrossthewidergroup.AsCoffeeisaleadingcommoditywithinthecompany,theindividualwilldealwithadiverserangeofstakeholders&customersacrossthebusiness,forwhichresearchisakeypartoftheirbusiness.

  • Managealargeandcomplexdatabaseofcoffeestatisticsensuringthatproductiondataisuptodateandaccurate.Withfocusonexports,imports,tradeflows,stocks,localprices/differentialsandconsumptiontrends.
  • Regularreportingforinternalandexternaluse,suchas;weeklyreports,meetingsummariesandmonthlyupdates.
  • Hostandminuteregularinternalcoffeetrademeetings,ensuringagendaisalwaysrelevanttodrivingforceswithinthemarket.
  • Preparepresentationsforcustomersacrossthedifferentprofitcentresaimedatsupportingthetradeandsalesteams.
  • Engagefullywithaninternalnetworkofagronomistsandlocaloriginspecialiststohelpinformyourcentralisedresearch.
  • Analysethemarketsandkeeptradersupdatedwithimportantinsights.
  • Keepuptodatewiththeothercommodities,suchascocoaandcottonandidentifyinnovativemethods&techniquesthatcouldbeusedtostrengthencoffeeanalysis.

  • Experiencewithinacommodityenvironmentorsimilar.
  • Thesuccessfulcandidatewillhavespecificexperienceincoffeeand/orothersoftcommodities(sugar,cocoaetc.),withtheabilitytopragmaticallyevaluatemarketsanddataandclearlycommunicateaninnovativeviewofthecoffeemarket.
