Relief Deputy Unit Manager Opportunity

Eccles Fold Day Centre provides 7 days a week, 365 days a year support to older adults with a wide range of needs, including dementia, learning disabilities, mental health needs, physical disabilities and social isolation.

About the Role

As a Relief Deputy Unit Manager you will support the Unit Manager and play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the centre.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the daily running of the centre during your shift
  • Handling incoming phone calls
  • Supporting staff rota and covering absences
  • Liaising with families, carers and professionals (GPs, social workers, etc.)
  • Recording and updating information on computer systems
  • Completing risk assessments and care plans
  • Reporting maintenance issues within the building
  • Carrying out Health & Safety checks (e.g. fire alarms, legionella monitoring)
