Team Leader – Day Shift

Job Description

Diamond Recruitment Services is looking for a Team Leader for the Day Shift to join a busy warehouse in Corby, part of a well‑established worldwide distribution company. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about warehousing and looking to progress from Warehouse Operative to Team Leader.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure a constant, smooth and efficient warehouse operation whilst achieving agreed budgetary and service levels.
• Maintain compliance with statutory health & safety, hygiene and security procedures.
• Line‑manage warehouse operatives and assist in other depot areas as required.
• Motivate, train and retain staff within a team‑based culture.
• Facilitate two‑way feedback and regular communication at all levels.
• Escalate issues to managers, internal and external service providers when necessary.
• Proactively ensure team targets and deadlines are understood and met.
• Plan and control daily and weekly labour and equipment requirements to deliver budgeted performance.
• Monitor department performance, time‑keeping and overtime, justify variances against budget.
• Contribute to process improvements through accountability and training.

Hours & Contract

Hours of work: 5 out of 7 days, Monday–Sunday 08:00 am – 04:30 pm.

Salary: To be confirmed.

Temp to Perm contract after 12 weeks.
