We’re recruiting an experienced and confident Customer Service Advisor to join a fantastic, purpose-built student accommodation site in Leicester.

This is the perfect opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment and enjoys being actively involved on site. You’ll be a visible, approachable presence across the building, delivering exceptional customer service while confidently managing the day-to-day challenges of a busy residential community.

This role requires someone who can build positive relationships with residents, remain calm under pressure, and confidently deal with a wide range of situations, including resolving complaints and supporting the safety and wellbeing of residents.

About the Role

This varied front-of-house position combines customer service, administration, and active site engagement in a busy student residential environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a professional, welcoming front-of-house reception service.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to residents, visitors, contractors and partners.
  • Build strong relationships with residents through regular engagement across the building.
  • Handle enquiries, complaints and maintenance issues promptly and professionally.
  • Confidently manage challenging situations, including anti-social behaviour and resident disputes, escalating where appropriate.
  • Conduct welfare checks, room inspections and incident reporting.
  • Assist with viewings and promote the accommodation and resident services.
  • Manage parcel deliveries and reception administration.
  • Identify hazards, respond appropriately to alarm activations, and support emergency procedures.
  • Carry out health & safety, compliance and operational checks.
  • Maintain high presentation standards across reception, communal lounges, lift lobbies and hallways.
  • Work collaboratively with site management, maintenance and operational teams to ensure an exceptional resident experience.

About You

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role within hospitality, residential, student accommodation, retail or front-of-house.
  • A genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating positive resident experiences.
  • Confident, resilient and able to deal professionally with challenging situations and difficult conversations.
  • Calm under pressure with excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Well-presented, approachable and professional.
  • Proactive, organised and happy to take ownership of issues from start to finish.
  • Good IT skills and strong attention to detail.
  • A supportive team player with empathy, professionalism and a can-do attitude.

What’s on Offer

  • Full-time: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm.
  • Seasonal flexibility: During the busy summer period, the role will include working Saturdays, with a day off in lieu during the week, before returning to the standard Monday-Friday schedule.
  • Salary of £25,757 per annum.
