Are you passionate about creating safe, nurturing homes where children and young people can truly thrive?

We are looking for a compassionate and ambitious Registered Children’s Home Manager to lead one of our client’s growing residential children’s homes within a supportive and values-led local authority service. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Registered Manager, or an experienced Deputy Manager/Senior Residential Worker ready to take the next step in their career.

You’ll lead a warm, child-centred home where relationships, stability and positive outcomes are at the heart of everything. Working alongside a supportive leadership team, you’ll help shape a reflective and trauma-informed culture focused on delivering exceptional care — not profit.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading the day-to-day operation of a registered children’s home
  • Creating a safe, nurturing and stable environment for children and young people
  • Managing, developing and motivating residential staff teams
  • Driving high standards of safeguarding and trauma-informed practice
  • Supporting care planning, positive outcomes and partnership working
  • Ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and quality standards
  • Managing staffing, budgets and home development plans

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience within children’s residential care at Deputy Manager level or above
  • Strong leadership, safeguarding and team development skills
  • Knowledge of children’s home regulations and residential childcare practice
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Passion for improving outcomes for children and young people
  • Enhanced Child DBS on the update service

Why Join Us?

  • Hybrid working available
  • Stable, supportive local authority environment
  • Strong network of experienced residential leaders and peers
  • Opportunity to shape and develop high-quality children’s homes
  • Child-focused service with long-term investment and growth
  • Reflective, inclusive and supportive culture

If you want to be part of a service that puts children first and creates homes filled with warmth, stability and positive memories, we’d love to hear from you.

Apply today to make a lasting difference in the lives of children and young people.
