Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Quality Manager to lead and develop our client’s quality assurance and compliance activities while overseeing HR and Health & Safety functions.

This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, maintaining management systems, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a positive culture across the organisation.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership and operational teams to ensure that quality standards and Health & Safety performance remain at the highest level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the establishment, implementation, and continual improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
  • Plan and lead effective audit programmes, conduct root-cause analyses for non-conformities, and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Ensure compliance activities are followed and company policies are maintained and regularly reviewed.
  • Support the organisation in assessing quality risks and identifying stakeholder expectations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer complaints, supplier quality issues, and third-party certification bodies.
  • Track quality metrics and provide reports to senior management to evaluate QMS performance and organisational commitment.
  • Oversee internal and customer Health & Safety requirements.
  • Work closely with senior management and external consultants to ensure compliant HR policies and processes.

About You

  • Experience in quality management or quality engineering with a strong understanding of customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to balance business objectives with quality and compliance needs while maintaining a customer-focused approach.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to explain quality requirements clearly and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to build a culture where quality is everyone’s responsibility and to motivate teams to maintain standards and improve performance.
  • Analytical and process-driven, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
  • Able to create concise reports, procedures, and processes.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently.
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally.

Desirable

  • Internal or Lead Auditor training.
  • Health & Safety experience.
