Job Description:

Procurement Manager – Telecoms / ISP

Work from home with occasional business travel

Salary around £60,000 with 10% bonus, private medical.

This is a new role, working client side for a network owner and operator spanning the UK.

In a positive period of change, the position is a permanent role and can offer stability alongside growth, so it’s fair to say it’s a slightly different proposition given the nature of the UK fibre market in recent years.

To start, this will be a standalone position and you’ll take the lead in the business by way of all things procurement and supply chain and then gradually, you’ll be given people management responsibility with a small team of accounts payable heads alongside inventory control.

The goal is to enter the business, assess current state of play and then look to implement process and efficiencies across the business, both internally and also externally across the vendor and partner ecosystem.

You’ll be given a good amount of flexibility to put process in place and will be the go-to inside the business by way of all things procurement / supply chain.

It’s an all round position, so you will own and oversee the end-to-end procurement and purchasing process, ensuring all spend is legitimate, necessary, and aligned with business objectives.

You’ll act as the delegated financial authority for purchase approvals, validating business need, budget availability, and that correct process has been followed using the Salesforce system.

:Your background:

This is a role for someone that ideally has a fundamental commercial finance base, but has then evolved into a procurement leadership role within the telecoms sector, and more specifically, someone who comes with a solid understanding of how things work in the FTTP space.

It’s a fast moving role, so the ability to keep a calm head within a fluid environment is going to be key.

Position is totally remote, and any business travel will be fully expensed.
