We’re supporting a specialist MedTech insights consultancy in their search for a Research Director to lead high‑impact qualitative and quantitative research across the medical device lifecycle. This is a senior role for someone who combines deep healthcare expertise with strong client leadership and the ability to translate complex clinical insight into clear strategic direction.

What You’ll Lead

• End‑to‑end MedTech research programmes across pre‑market, launch, and post‑market phases
• High‑complexity qualitative work with surgeons, specialists, nurses, and device users
• Quantitative study design, survey development, analytics partnership, and mixed‑method integration
• Strategic evidence generation supporting product development, market access, and commercial strategy
• Client leadership across UK, EU, and US MedTech manufacturers
• Proposal development, project scoping, and methodological design
• Insight storytelling for senior clinical, regulatory, and commercial stakeholders

What You Bring

• Deep experience in MedTech, medical devices, diagnostics, or healthcare provider research
• Strong mixed‑methods capability — confident leading both quant and qual
• Proven qualitative expertise: moderating clinician interviews, advisory boards, ethnography, OR workflow studies
• Quantitative experience: survey design, question structure, analytics partnership, interpretation of outputs
• Consultancy‑style client leadership and comfort owning senior relationships
• Ability to translate complex clinical insight into clear strategic recommendations
• Strong communication skills and confidence presenting to senior stakeholders
• Ability to work collaboratively with UK and US teams in a boutique, high‑autonomy environment
