Our client is a leading engineering and offsite manufacturing specialist delivering innovative mechanical and electrical building services solutions across Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe. As part of this continued expansion, they are seeking an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager to join their Dublin operations. This is an excellent opportunity to lead the successful delivery of major mechanical packages while working alongside highly experienced commercial, engineering and project delivery teams.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of the delivery of multiple mechanical projects from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover. Working closely with in-house design, commercial and operational teams, you’ll ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage mechanical building services projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
- Lead site teams, supervisors and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered safely and efficiently.
- Coordinate labour, materials, plant and specialist subcontractors to meet programme requirements.
- Monitor project performance, costs and resources to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.
- Work closely with commercial and design teams to support procurement, planning and project delivery.
- Review technical drawings, specifications and project documentation prior to commencement.
- Manage project reporting, progress meetings and client communications.
- Oversee project variations, valuations and cost reporting in conjunction with the commercial team.
- Support commissioning activities and successful project handover.
- Promote the highest standards of Health & Safety, Quality and operational excellence across all projects.
About You
You will be an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager or Senior Mechanical Project Manager with a proven track record of delivering complex MEP or building services projects.
Essential Experience
- Previous experience managing mechanical building services or MEP projects.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems within commercial or industrial construction.
- Experience managing projects valued between approximately £3m-£10m.
- Excellent commercial awareness with the ability to monitor project costs and performance.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing site teams and subcontractors.
- Full driving licence.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
