Shafa Farm Limited is entering an exciting phase of expansion, and we are looking for an experienced Retail & Key Account Development Manager to lead our growth across the UK’s major retail and foodservice sectors.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a commercially driven professional with extensive experience in business development, key account management, and retail sales within the poultry, meat, food manufacturing, or FMCG industries.

We are seeking someone with an established network and proven success in securing listings with leading UK supermarket chains, including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Morrisons, Aldi, Lidl, Waitrose, Costco, Booker, and other national retailers.

About the Role

Reporting directly to senior management, you will play a critical role in expanding Shafa Farm Limited’s presence within the UK retail market. Your focus will be on identifying new opportunities, developing strategic customer relationships, negotiating commercial agreements, and delivering sustainable sales growth.

This is a business development role designed for someone who enjoys opening new doors, building long-term partnerships, and driving commercial success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic retail and key account growth plan.
  • Secure new business opportunities with major UK supermarkets, wholesalers, distributors, and foodservice operators.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with category buyers, procurement teams, and senior decision-makers.
  • Lead negotiations on pricing, supply agreements, and long-term commercial contracts.
  • Develop and manage strategic key accounts to maximise sales and profitability.
  • Identify opportunities to expand Shafa Farm Limited’s product range within existing and new customers.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements to support business growth.
  • Work closely with production, operations, and logistics teams to ensure outstanding customer service and supply performance.
  • Represent the company at industry exhibitions, trade events, and customer meetings.
  • Deliver sales targets and provide regular performance reports to senior management.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A proven track record of developing new business within the UK retail, FMCG, poultry, meat, or food manufacturing sectors.
  • Existing relationships with supermarket buyers, category managers, and procurement professionals.
  • Experience securing product listings with major UK retail chains.
  • Strong commercial negotiation and key account management skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • A results-driven approach with the confidence to engage at senior executive level.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing to a growing and ambitious business.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide.
