Investigo are delighted to be partnering exclusively with a leading London University, home to some of the world’s most well-renowned creative institutions. They are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager for an initial 24-month fixed-term contract.

This role, based across their London campus’ (1-3 days per week), will position you at the heart of a major, multi-year transformation programme, working closely with senior leadership to help deliver a refreshed, student-centred and sustainable operating model.

This transformation includes the introduction of a new Target Operating Model (TOM) alongside a portfolio of university-wide Service Review Programmes, designed to enhance service quality, strengthen operational resilience, and support long-term financial sustainability.

The Role

This is a high-profile delivery role within one of the University’s most significant strategic programmes. As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring coordinated, high-quality delivery across a complex portfolio of workstreams. You will:

  • Drive Programme Delivery: Support the mobilisation, planning, and delivery of Service Review Programmes and Operating Model workstreams, ensuring activity is well-sequenced and aligned to strategic priorities.
  • Own Planning & Coordination: Maintain programme plans, RAID logs, dependencies, and delivery documentation, ensuring strong control over timelines, risks, and interdependencies.
  • Enable Governance & Reporting: Produce clear, concise reporting for governance boards, steering groups, and senior stakeholders, ensuring transparency and effective decision-making.
  • Engage & Influence Stakeholders: Build strong relationships across academic and professional services, facilitating workshops, meetings, and design sessions to drive progress and alignment.
  • Collaborate Across Workstreams: Work closely with internal teams and third-party partners to track progress, clarify deliverables, and ensure outputs meet agreed standards.
  • Support Implementation: Coordinate the rollout of new processes, structures, and ways of working, working with HR, Finance, Communications, and Digital & Technology teams to ensure successful adoption.
  • Track Benefits & Outcomes: Monitor delivery against plans, track benefits realisation, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and optimisation.
  • Contribute to Programme Excellence: Support the development of programme frameworks, tools, and standards, sharing best practice and strengthening delivery capability across the wider programme.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Proven experience managing or supporting complex programmes or projects within large, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Strong planning and delivery skills, including experience managing RAID logs, dependencies, and multiple workstreams.
  • Ability to maintain pace and momentum across complex programmes, navigating ambiguity and competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, executive-level reporting.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior leaders and facilitating workshops.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset, with strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
  • The confidence to work autonomously while exercising sound judgement in fast-paced environments.

Desirable:

  • Experience delivering operating model transformation, organisational change, or service improvement programmes.
  • Experience working with external consultants or delivery partners.
  • Experience within Higher Education, public sector, or similarly complex organisations.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Lean, or service design methodologies.
